Yamillet Pena became the first Dominican to reach a final in the 43rd Artistic Gymnastics World Championships taking place in Tokyo, Japan (7-16 October).
She scored third, behind MK Maroney of the US and O Chusovitina of Germany.
Her performance placed her as the best in the category in Latin America, automatically qualifying her for the London Olympic Games.
