1,500 military to patrol streets

The Ministry of Armed Forces has announced that 1,500 members of the military will now patrol city streets to prevent crime. The forces will strengthen crime prevention and fighting efforts of the Police. The military personnel are being assigned to work with Brigade General Juan Brown Perez, appointed coordinator of the Barrio Seguro program that works in slum areas.
