The Ministry of Public Works has announced the completion of the remodeling of the Quisqueya Ball Park, which is now ready for the 2011-2012 60th Professional Winter Baseball League Championship that opens this evening. There will be games in Santo Domingo (Escogido vs. Licey), Santiago (Aguilas vs. Gigantes) and La Romana (Toros vs. Estrellas) tonight. The remodeling work included the installation of new seats in the bleacher area, new restaurant areas, a new lighting system in the main lobby, bathroom improvements and expansion of the commissioner's office and the main baseball stadium box. The Toros are the reigning league champions. Tickets are RD$650, RD$400, RD$300, RD$250 and RD$100 at the Quisqueya Ball Park.
