Ocean World, the leading marine world entertainment center in Puerto Plata, is holding an Oktoberfest celebration at its venue in Cofresi, Puerto Plata. This 14, 15, 16 October, come to enjoy German food, live music, and take part in the beer drinking contest fun and much more.
The three-day celebration lasts from noon until 10pm (or later), complete with Bavarian food specialties like pork roast with potato dumplings, bratwurst, weisswurst, gulasch, schweinshaxe (pork knuckle aka ham hock), pretzels and sauerkraut. There will also be German beer (Weizenbier), Jaegermeister shots, and German music (mixed with Dominican and American music).
The festivities will take place in a tent in front of the Ocean World Liquor Store next to the casino, which will be decorated in Bavarian colors and themes. Entry is free and items are a-la-carte. For more information, call 809 291-2204, or email events@ocean-world.info
