Minister of Labor Francisco Dominguez Brito through its Director General of Industrial Hygiene and Safety has carried out the first certifications for companies that have fulfilled Regulation 522-06 of the Labor Code. During the ceremony, Dominguez Brito handed 37 companies their certificates for having scores of over 85 during the evaluations carried out by the members of the Industrial Hygiene and Safety team of the Ministry.
Dominguez Brito assured the business community that he would not allow any regulation to become something that would hurt a business, and much less a small or medium business. He noted that his technical people have to work hard to teach the workers how to allow themselves to be protected. These are the measures that employers take to safeguard their workers and that are often seen as impositions by the workers.
The Nuevo Diario said that Dominguez Brito invited the business community to visit the Ministry issues that they feel need to be changed or adjusted.
