The plenary of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) took a look at hundreds of files that presented serious irregularities and cancelled three for containing false information, another for a lost file and over 800 were cancelled for impersonations or forgeries, false information or duplications in birth declarations. All told there were 924 cancelled documents.
The JCE also acted on two acts regarding the civil state of the persons as well as one act regarding a retired person.
The Nuevo Diario also said that the JCE also sent the political parties the rules and regulations that will govern the upcoming elections. Within ten days the political parties should make their observations and recommendations.
The Board also approved the local election boards at 42 cities and towns in the country. In addition they also approved the JCE offices that will coordinate the overseas voting in Philadelphia, Panama, New Jersey and Miami.
