The Cinemateca Dominicana at Plaza de la Cultura presents the First Iberoamerican Film Festival. "La Hija Natural," by Dominican director Leticia Tonos, opens the festival on Wednesday. The festival will present 17 films from 19 to 30 October.

The films are:

Bolivia: "American Visa", Thu 20 Oct, 7:30pm;
Brazil: "Tropa de Elite 1", Fri 21 Oct, 5:30 pm;
Chile: "Maneras de Ser Feliz", Fri 21 Oct, 7:30pm;

Costa Rica: "Caribe", Sat 22 Oct, 7:30pm;
Cuba: "Paginas del Diario de Mauricio", Sun 23 Oct, 5:30pm;
Ecuador: "Que tan Lejos", Sun 23 Oct, 7:30pm;
El Salvador: "La Vida Loca", Tue 25 Oct, 7:30pm;
Spain: "25 Kilates", Wed 26 Oct, 7:30pm;
Guatemala: "El Silencio Neto", Thu 27 Oct, 7:30pm;
Honduras: "Amor y Frijoles", Fri 28 Oct, 5:30pm;
Mexico: "Espiral", Fri 28 Oct, 7:30pm;
Nicaragua: "La Yuma", Sat 29 Oct, 5:30pm;
