The 3rd International Poetry Festival opens today at the Palacio de Bellas Artes with the participation of 20 countries, 29 international poets and 17 Dominican poets from 19 to 23 October. Ibero-American poets participating are: Luis Garcia Montero, Coral Bracho, Claribel Alegria, Jotamario Arbeaez, Alan Mills, Cesar Lopez, Anthony Phelps, Eduardo Chirinos, Jose Ramon Ripoll, Lila Zemborain, Mariela Nigro, Marco Martos, Zingonia Zingone, Alex Fleites, Claudio Daniel, Eleonora Requena, Dario Jaramillo Agudelo, Hernan Bravo Varela, Hector Hernandez Montecinos, Hugo Mujica, Joaquin Morales, Juan Carlos Orihuela, Juana Goergen, Luis Chavez, Nestor Barreto and Silvio Mignano.
There will be readings in Santiago, San Cristobal, San Pedro de Macoris, in addition to several venues in Santo Domingo, including Metro stations.
