The Camilo House Apartments are centrally
located in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. If you are looking for convenience, value and security, look no further. There are six completely furnished junior 1-bedroom apartments in this 4-floor walkup building. This new building has amenities like: cooking area (w/dishes and pots), stove, refrigerator, microwave, cable TV, wireless internet, air-conditioning and backup power.
The prices for the apartments are $65 per night for stays of 5 days or less. $60 per night for stays over 5 days. These prices include all taxes and fees.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
at http://www.camilohouse.com/rates.htm I found:

The prices for the apartments are as follows:

$65 per night (7 days or less)
$60 per night (8 days or more)
$55 per night (20 days or more)
$10 per night for registered guests* * This fee is NOT for having a guest visit your apartment (there is no fee for visitors). This is for more than one person checking in and staying in the apartment for the
duration of the reservation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.camilohouse.com/map.htm shows the relation between Raizor, which is near Jaragua and Camilo House.

I do a search but I have never heard this name come up and I am not one for being a test dummy. :corky:

All prices include all taxes and fees. Prices subject to change.

Sounds like a nice alternative to a hotel. I will have to check it out when I hit the South

Also check out http://dr1.com/directories/rental/santo_domingo_rental.shtml. I think this is a condo rental, made and paid for here in the US. It looks to be a great distance away from the Malecon and Cuidad Colonial, my stomping grounds.
