The Police are in pursuit of an employee of the Compania de Seguridad Polisur who worked at the Bavaro branch of Caribe Express. The fugitive former employee was named as Juan Galvez Aquino, who is suspected of tying up and gagging the manager to steal more than RD$5 million from the company. Police spokesman Colonel Maximo Aybar said the individual is heavily armed and is thought to be using the money to purchase more arms. He invited him to turn himself in. The remittance company is located in Plaza Genaro in Veron where the funds in pesos, US dollars and euros were stolen, as reported in El Nacional.
