We rented from them and there are always minor problems. Minor is fine, this is DR.

All that and no gas in the tank is the norm.

Yeah, plus no oil and no cooling water....
When renting a car in DR: check ALL tires + the spare, put in oil, put in water, put in gas...............then after 5 minutes replace tire with spare......after 2 hours you'll need another spare, so make sure you got the original tire fixed by then.....

I think less preparation goes into one of those Everest expeditions than renting a car in the DR.

Repeat customers is an unknown concept to these people.

I think i will pay a little more and go to Rubie. The only problem i have ever had with Adventure is the fumes in the tank when i get it. If i am going to drive to Santiago i will use her. The aircon in the last car i rented was frosty.

Out the door of POP and 100 feet to the right. Google search will get you the site. Nicer vehicles but they cost a bit more. Ask her for cash price if you return the car in one piece.

$32 - $35 per day times the amount you want. Nothing like America or Canada.

I just rented from Eurocar on a weekly basis. $29 a day plus tax and insurance. I had a credit card which had a rental car insurance program. My cc insurance only cost me $5 a day, instead of $24 a day from the car rental company.
---- Heres a good one......Make sure to return the rental car with a full tank of gas. I rented a car which had battery problems. I had it exchanged for another car. At the end of my trip , Eurocar charged me $38 for the first car not being returned with a full tank of gas even though the piece of crap was exchanged due to not working

$29 per day at Alamo if you book in advance on expedia. Alamo has the lowest taxes so even at $33, it is still the cheapest out there.

They all raise the rates in the winter. Alamo was $22 early this month but just went up to $30 for winter season. I'm sure Savings is the same way.

i recently rented from Savings... in "high" season, still $35 a day for a suzuki 4 door 4wd Jeep, including tax and insurance. I told her i was recommended by a friend (who I knew paid 35/day) so, not sure if it would have been higher if i didn't mention that, but she did offer a dollar or two a day less for cash. The jeep was a little scratched up and dirty, with an empty gas tank when i picked it up, but everything worked including the 4wd ... and the guy who went over the car with me did a good job of marking all the dings and dents on the contract so i wouldnt be responsible for them. the woman who runs the office, Johanne, is amazing! absolutely the happiest person I have ever met!! she laughes even while writing out the rental order or just sitting there... i think she has a comedy soundtrack running in her head at all times or something...

I have been dealing with Yohanne for 4 years now and she is the best. Yohanne gives the best deals out of anybody down there, I have rented almost every type of jeep small to big and she always offers me the best rate but you have to pay in cash to get that rate. Some people have not have had a good experience with her company but to each his own.
