I have been to DR (POP) at least 7 times. I only trust the ATM's of Scotia Bank and Popular. I tried to exchange USD at a bank once and got screwed. Same thing can happen on the streeet, while there are a few honest exchangers most of them suck. PS keep your ATM recipts and match them up to your bank as sson as you get home. I never had a problem but it is good to be safe. I usually arrive with $700 USD and leave with about $500 USD.

In the last 2 months I have used all the banks and so far no problems.

i just bring enough cash to last the trip and leave whatever i wont need for the day in the safe... Speakin of money guys... Jimmy or whoever is in town can you give us the current rate? I saw on Oanda.com yesterday the rate was 29.75 and at the same time is was 27.60 on enviosboya.com
