The Presidency has announced that President Leonel Fernandez will not be traveling to Venezuela to meet with President Hugo Chavez or attending the Ibero-American Summit in Paraguay (28-29 October) as announced earlier in the week. The Presidency says that instead he will visit Miami, where he will receive an award from the Latin Trade business magazine, the Bravo: Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Presidency says he departs on Thursday at 1:30pm. In Miami, he will speak at the Latin Trade Conference, addressing the issue of "Financial Speculation, Food and Oil in the Future Markets: for a New International Consensus of Price Stability." He returns on Saturday.
