Rain showers are forecast nationwide as a trough passes over the area. Otherwise, there is nothing in the weather system to cause any concern, and the country seems to have been very much spared in the 2011 Hurricane Season that ends in November. The rains will mostly be felt in the northeast, southeast, central mountain range and along the border with Haiti, according to the Weather Department (ONAMET). The showers are expected in the afternoon.
