For the first time, the main presidential rivals, Hipolito Mejia from the PRD and Danilo Medina from the PLD, will be in the same room and talking. The Young Entrepreneurs Association (ANJE) is bringing the two leaders together today at the Fiesta Room of the Hotel Jaragua and the event will be televised. Channel 11, Channel 2, Coral 39 and Channel 8, along with La Nota Diferente 97.5 FM and the social networks of Telenoticias will broadcast this event. The Corripio Group is providing the transmission facilities.
This is not a debate. Each of the two candidates will have about half an hour to speak on their plans, and they are expected to touch on such issues as education, electricity, financing and jobs.
