Adrian Beltre (third base) of the Texas Rangers and Erick Aybar (short) of the Anaheim Angels have been awarded Rawlings Gold Glove awards for the 2011 Major League Baseball season for the American League. Third baseman Placido Polanco of the Philadelphia Phillies was one of the winners in the National League. The awards honor players deemed to have been the best defensive performers in their position. They are voted on by Major League Baseball's manager and coaches.
