In last night's action, the Tigres del Licey defeated the Estrellas Orientales from San Pedro de Macoris, 8-1, in a game played at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium. Anderson Hernandez was the star for the Tigres with a double and a single, along with import Jerry Sands who also had two hits.

In Santo Domingo's venerable Estadio Quisqueya, the Aguilas Cibaenas defeated the league-leading Leones del Escogido by a score of 8-1. Joaquin Arias went 4-4 against his old team, and Wilin Rosarion hit a homer and Mario Alvarez pitched five solid innings for the win, and the five relief pitchers used by manager Feliz Fermin did not give up a run. This was the first victory for the Aguilas over a team in Santo Domingo in five tries.

The game in San Francisco de Macoris between the Gigantes and the Toros del Este was rained out. The game will be made up on 7 November.
