The Foundation for Institutionalism and Justice (FINJUS) has released an annotated copy of the Dominican Constitution, "La Constitucion Comentada 2010". The book was written to help understand the Constitution and for use in schools. Adriano Miguel Tejada, editor in chief of Diario Libre, formally launched the new publication at the Hotel Embajador yesterday. He stated that the book would help the general public to understand the meaning of the decisions made by the Constitutional Court and to understand the predominating character of the Constitution, as reported in Hoy.
Also speaking at the event, FINJUS vice-president Servio Tulio Castanos Guzman stressed the importance of all Dominicans knowing the Constitution. "The Constitution is, with all its dimensions, the most encompassing synthesis of the commitment that unites society and state in this period of its development," said Castanos.
