President Leonel Fernandez will deliver the closing address at the Invest in Dominican Republic conference scheduled for 10 November at the Barcelo Hotel Santo Domingo on Maximo Gomez Avenue. The organizers say the event is aimed at analyzing the potential for development in the Caribbean and Latin America taking into account business opportunities in the Dominican Republic for global companies interested in expanding in the region.
There will be presentations by Manuel Bonilla (Barrick Pueblo Viejo), Simon Pedro Barcelo (Barcelo Hotels & Resorts), Claudio Castro (Odebrecht), Juan Luis Cebrian (El Pais newspaper), Manuel Estrella (El Caribe newspaper), Felix Garcia (El Caribe newspaper), Frank Rainieri (Puntacana Group), Tomas Perez Ducy (Viva Telecommunications), and representing the government Eddy Martinez (executive director of the Center for Export and Investment) and Minister of Economy Temistocles Montas. The conference is sponsored by El Pais (Spain) and El Caribe (DR) newspapers.
