Preventive custody in parking lot murder case

Judge Ernesto Everetz has sent Rafael Emilio Gonzalez Alvarez to jail for a year for the murder of Guillermo Moncada Aybar on Wednesday 2 November. He will remain in preventive custody while the courts hear the case against him for the murder of his neighbor's brother. Gonzalez was sent to the Najayo Jail. He told the press that he was sorry for what he did, but thought the preventive custody was unnecessary. Gonzalez, who lived in the Residencial Xiomara in Piantini, shot Guillermo Moncada Aybar eight times in a row over his father's parking space. He claims he did not know what happened to him. His lawyers requested his release on bail. "I am not an aggressive person. In that incident I lost my perspective, I lost control, and I am sorry for what happened," he told Listin Diario.
