There 13 - 20 Jan 2007, I'll just give the skinny on 4 popular houses and the changes since our last trip in Sep '06:

Casa Teresa- Sep '06 ST/TLN=1,000/3,000RD. Jan '07 3,000/9,000RD
(Stay away from Casa Teresa)

Girl House - Still 2,500RD TLN (TLN now = 2 hrs, >2 hrs negot. starts at 4,000RD).

Sky Club - Still 3,000RD for 2 hours. 4,500-5,000RD = 11 am next a.m. depending on Chica.

Lapsus - (now this gets tricky) Standard house fee is still 2,500RD for TLN (now redefined as 2-3 hrs.). Some Chicas will try to claim a salida fee of up to 6,000RD if they think they have an unwitting dupe. I had to warn several potential marks away from these scammers. Aparently the house is not inclined to intervene in these scams, undermining my formerly high opinion of them. One has to act like they've been around the block and stand firm on price and time or U will get used. It was never this much work before.

Concerns:

Whatever Chica union meeting that established a TLN standard of 2 hrs. must be countered with a mongerer agreement to demand more time or less money or both. Toda La Noche has become Two Fucking Hours in a few months. This is wrong and we must not take this lying down (pun intended).

If a house price is established (i.e. 2,500RD), the price MUST be held as a standard at the club for all working Chicas there. We may need to counter this trend of price variance with low starting bids of 1,500RD (and stick to our guns) in order to return some sanity to the process.

Casa Teresa must be boycotted. These are Netherlands Antilles prices and not reasonable by any standard under the circumstances. I'm sure that the Chicas aren't even getting half the fees charged there. How can they expect a working month (DR) wages for a 2 hour fuck? Tell everyone you know to stay out of that joint or they'll bring the price of punani to ridiculous highs all over the country.

That's just my 2 cents...

heh sounds like some of the Sosua chicas too. TLN means 2hrs to some of them also. Good reason to not pay until your finished. If they insist make excuses to pay until you can get them out of your room. Then short pay them and tell them to fuck off.

You have to remember when dealing with a strip club or house like that to ask all questions up front. Make sure your getting what you expect time wise and sexual act wise. Make sure it is clear with the house and the chica before leaving. I wouldnt pay for the chica in advance. If they ask you to move on. The only money you should be paying up front is the salida.

Once youve paid theres no obligation for the chica to perform. People will only learn this lesson after being burned one or many times.

The prices are becoming a joke in Santo Domingo. What a shame.

I guess it is best to ask a chica (that you like) when her day off is. Most of these chicas work 6 days per week.

So what you can do is get her number and call her on her day off. Then the two of you can negotiate a much better fee (since there is no house fee involved).

It looks like Casa Teressa, Casa Azul, Casa de Modelos, Lapsus, and The Girl's House now charge around 5,000 for TLN.

There is another casa called Casa Australia. This is a very small casa run by a lady in her early 50s (a nice lady by the way). It is around a 20-minute drive from the Malecon.

She has around 10 chicas working for her. You pay a salida fee of 500 pesos and then you negotiate with the chica. This information is from my experience in October of 2005. So I need to visit this place again and see what they now offer.

This place closes at 6pm. And the chicas just go home. So both you and the chica can work something out.

Ah casa australia. Can certainly be hit or miss and is a casa in every way. You sit around her small living room or out front under a tree for shade. She no longer sells beer so you can run to the colmado on the corner and buy some jumbos or grandes to share with the chicas. Australia is a trip. Nice lady.

Basically years ago some TSM guys, pat from boca chica etc bought her a freezer to sell beer and she always had neighborhood barrio girls hanging around to meet the gringos.

Back in the day it was 200 pesos salida and take the chica to the hotel principe around the block. Give the girl 500 pesos and she'd hang for 3-4 hours as many pops as you could handle.

I was there about 1.5 years ago and 2 relatively cute chicas wanted to go dancing with me. I am pretty sure we could have went out dancing all night and one or both would have turned into a freebie but I had other plans.

Two chicas I enjoyed spending the night are Esther (a bartender from the Jaragua Casino). I will get her number again in my next trip.
I actually slept with her in the early morning to afternoon since her shift ends at 6am.

And Chanel (I posted her pictures here). Her new cell number is 829-868-3675. 2,000 for an all-nighter with her (since no house fee was involved).

Esther is around 5'4" tall, with short dark hair and medium-build (but in a nice way). She does not speak any English.

Her shift ends at 6am. It is best if you two meet far away from the Jaragua Casino (because she does not want management to spot her with a guy).

I met her when I stayed at the Napolitano Hotel. So I would meet up with her on the second floor of the hotel (the second floor is an outdoor restaurant).

She usually just has a cup of coffee (which is fine with me). :D

Your countdown has begun!!!

It's amazing how Australia's name keeps popping up.

She really has an interesting history.

She is the widow of a high ranking military officer who went into the girl business many years ago, after her husband died. That marriage provided her with the contacts she needed to start offering young neighborhood girls to military and police types.

Back in the day, she actually specialized in catering to higher up military types, many of which I met during my visits to her house.

Since the girls she had were almost always school girls back in those days, it wasn't unusual to find them in their school uniforms. A real turn on sometimes! And, it was tough to find a girl there after 8 pm, because they had to get home.

She was also well known for supplying girls that were.. um, shall we say, not quite of age, and not yet "a woman", meaning no man had ever had his way with them.

These uninitiated girls would give you oral service, and would even take their clothes off, but their legs were always closed tight.

Even back in those days, when you could get a sweet young thing for 500 pesos, a virgin would run you from 10-15K pesos.

She was eventually shut down for a few years back around 2000 for pimping the younger girls.

She's been back in business for the last 2-3 years, and it's still not unusual to find the occasional underage girl, but for the most part, her girls are now in their early or mid twenties..

Bitching about the prices even back then!

But, maybe more reason to as the exchange in '07 was 32 to 1. Considering the cost nowadays once on the ground, the DR is still a great deal for a vacation compared to other Caribbean locations.

The biggest cost increase is the "getting there" part to that ground, as a flight for me back in '07 and '08, from California was in the $500-600 range, and that was into POP. Now, it's nearly double that amount for me, and thats with a SDQ arrival and departure.

With POP now? For me....fuggetaboutit!

It wasn't just the prices. When I 1st started going to Santo Domingo it was a totally different vibe. The casas were the center of the night life and they were open until the crack of dawn, as were the neighborhood joints. There were country fresh Chicas being bused in regularly for work in the casas and cock fights on the back streets.

The Capital was one big party until they decided to stop selling booze (effectively shutting the night life down) at Midnite.

All the Chicas had Razor flip phones or Blackberries back then so the trade effectively moved to a digital platform. Since that time, technology and the virtual meeting place has replaced the old casa paradigm for most and for those of us old schoolers who prefer the face-to-face meeting, the move to the open air street market style of play as is found in Boca Chica has become the best way to meet Chicas from Santo Domingo without having to completely immerse in the urban culture where the stakes (and the rewards) are higher.

A huge increase in the number of deportees and drugs flooding the Capital over the past decade has caused me to prefer the slow and easy pace of Boca Chica. The flavor has definitely changed over the years.

Truth told, it did suck 10 years ago before they cleaned all the short-eye perverts out of town.

The beach needs a good dredging and the businesses pop in and out like "Whack-a-Mole", but the place has a very slow and easy vibe to it now. It's proximity to the Capital gives it an advantage which cannot be found up North. 1/3 of the country's population resides in Santo Domingo.

Tell me about it...chicken or fish or pizza.

I have no idea what kind of animal Dominican beef comes from and I'm allergic to shellfish.

Many days I settle for sopa de vegetales otherwise known as chicken soup without the chicken.

When I return from Kenya, I miss the food 1st.
