The Central Electoral Board (JCE) judges and the political parties will finally meet at 10am tomorrow to speak openly about the stalemate created by the resignation of the General Administrator of Information Technology and discuss the proposal from the JCE president and formalized by the Plenary, which will create an Electoral Information Technology Manager.

Speaking yesterday, the head of the JCE, Roberto Rosario, said that the parties would be able to express their opinions in the public hearing on the proposal, which underwent a modification at the request of the PRSC in order for the management team to operate in three phrases.

After hearing the opinions of the political parties, the JCE Plenary will emit its final decision with respect to the situation created by the friction between the president of the JCE and Judge Eddy Olivares, as well as the petition from several quarters that are calling for the resignation of IT Director Franklin Frias, or for a consensus to be reached.

In a public statement, the JCE has said that at no time was IT General Administrator Miguel Angel Garcia's resignation the result of pressures or harassment, or part of a "perverse plan" and that "a parallel computer center" does not exist and has never existed.

The Senate was given a proposal for a resolution suggesting sending an invitation to Magistrate Eddy Olivares to appear before a special commission appointed by the Senate with the idea of listening to his thoughts on the calls for the resignation of the IT General Administrator. The motion was submitted by Senator Eddy Mateo (PLD-Barahona), who supported it by saying that the value judgments and the suggestions by Olivares contradicted the dispositions of the Plenary, therefore constituting an open defiance of the decisions adopted by the collegiate group. He also pointed out that it was highly troublesome that attitudes of this type should emerge just a few months before the presidential elections.
