The city government of Santiago has announced that as of January it will turn central Calle El Sol into a pedestrian street. City Mayor Gilberto Serulle Ramia said it would be pedestrianized from the intersections with 30 de Marzo to Cuba from 6:30pm to 10pm. The plan is to attract more business to the area, by providing space for entertainment activities.
