Ok guys first of all I am sorry!

Real Life just kicked my ass for the past two weeks.

I put in a shitload of hours for emergency and project work.
And my PC crashed and I lost massive amounts of data!

Well the good news:
This is it! The solution I talked about two weeks ago, after getting my PC running on Sunday I sat down and streamlined the upgrade. It only took 1 hour and I did it this morning at 4am. (Sorry C-Mike)

Everything should be fast again!
The "LOOK BOSS! I AM SURFING A SEX WEBSITE!" look is lessened.
People won't be deactivated mysteriously anymore!
You can set your forum look preference here: (Select Yes/No for Index Packing)
http://news.insearchofchicas.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=profile&mode=editprofile

Oh yeah, admins got this new cool Global Announcement Feature! :)

Looks cool, and its certainly fast (although the incredible slowness of a few weeks ago has been better the last couple of days). respect for the hard work and balancing it with real life (what's real though; DR pussy ain't real?).

The "LOOK BOSS! I AM SURFING A SEX WEBSITE!" look is lessened.
yeah? The atavars and the huge banner shouting "prostitution info click here!" are still pretty prominent. But hey, it IS a sex website.

I also notice a new feature with 'related topics' below, wonder how that works, not all seem that much related to this post.

It's working very well in practice as well, I like this change!
Two little remarks though: 1. if i don't do anything for about half an hour I'm logged off automaticaly; 2. the link under someone's profile with 'find all posts by ...' brings you to the general search page, not to a list of posts. but well, those are minor details.

I think your really supposed to be logged off if your not active... It could be a good thing for security...

yeah, i suppose so. i hardly ever use public computers, didn't think of that. it seemed a bit quick though, or that feature did not work previously. well, i'll adapt to it.

The auto logoff is a new feature.

I can set the time. I will make it 1 hour when I get home tonight but I don't want to do it longer.

There are some that use public computers.

Something I manually have to put in, will take about an hour of coding. I won't even have to take down the web site to do it. I will put it back in over the next few days. I had it in this morning but must have miss-typed something since it wasn't working, so I took it out rather then troubleshooting at 4am.

JD and Maximus are both locked out again. I do not know why.

Must be some kinda bug in the software that is locking people out every time the database is modified.

It was a bug in the old version.

Jimmy are you sure your message ain't old?

I just looked at the database and the only non-active accounts are:

Maylay
UD (David)
Yasmin
And someone who deactivated himself.

Its working now if I upload from my PC.

Thanks Don Tomas.

I still get the error message if I try to link to a url, but as long as I can upload from my PC I am happy.

Thanks again.

The site looks great DT. The one thing I've noticed is that the orange icon next to a title of a thread indicating to view the newest post in a thread doesn't work. When you click on it, it just takes you to the beginning of the thread.

Though I must say I agree with El D's assessment that there are too many stickies and annoucements at the top.... why not just have one of each that links to the rest.

While your fixing stuff, could you get the Jump to feature on the main Forum page. When I view recent posts, it appears at the bottom and actually shows all the forums and this might help people if they are looking for a specific area.
