Lawyer Jose Ricardo Feris Ferrus has been appointed counselor director of the Commission on Arbitration with its headquarters in Paris. The court is an affiliate of the International Chamber of Commerce, and is considered the most prestigious in its jurisdiction, reports El Dia. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is said to be "the world business organization."
Feris Ferrus is a graduate of the PUCMM law school with post-graduate international law studies at New York University. He has served as assistant to the judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague since 2003. From 2004-2007 he was assistant counselor at the Court and from 2007 counselor in charge of Latin America and the Iberian peninsula.
