The Renaissance Jaragua Hotel & Casino will be hosting the First Indian Gastronomic Festival from 22 November through 1 December. A tasting-dinner will be hosted on Monday, 21 with Ambassador Deepak Bhojwani of India. Bhojwani is concurrent ambassador with the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Haiti. Gina Eli, sales director for the Jaragua, said that the festival is the first joint initiative aimed at expanding the cultural culinary awareness between both countries. Hotel head chef Amilcar Acros is in charge of the festival, working with guest chefs Vinay Dutt Barua and Suresh Chandra of India.
