Some Puerto Plata Updates

New owner but still not good.
Price is now $80 US which is much better than the ridiculous $150 US they used to try to charge.
Salida is 800 pesos.
Small Pesidente is 100 pesos.
3 chicas working.
I call this place Adiosa.:lol:

Bohem:
Just wanted to take a look and didn't feel like paying a loco price.
Newly renovated but nothing special at all.
Some nice chicas and many not so nice.
MGD are 130 pesos.
The chicas don't want beer. They just want 300 peso cocktails.:devilfu:

Cristals:
Not much talent during the day.
Small Presidente is 100 pesos and MGD is 150 pesos. At night, both are 150 pesos but the MGD is not very cold.
Price is still $100 US todo for short-time but 3000 pesos is doable.
Salida is 1300 pesos.
Some nice talent at night but many are quite mercenary.
If you are not ready to fricky fricky within 5 minutes they split.
Still some nice ones who will hang out and party and let you take your time deciding.

Luz Maria:
Always one of my favorites but seems to have gone down lately, at least during the day.
Large Presidente and MGD are 150 pesos (or 170?).
Salida is 1000 pesos.
Short-time quote is 3000 pesos but 2500 is no problemo.

Mangu:
200 peso cover during the week and probably around 300 on the weekend, including one drink.
MGD are 190 pesos.
Some nice talent but they looked like the Bohem type and I didn't even bother getting any quotes, plus I was quite drained at the time.:p

Sensacion cabana:
Still a great deal at 400 pesos for 4 hours in a large room with jacuzzi.:)
MGD have gone up 20 pesos but still a good deal at 80 pesos.:iconTU:

Guttaman is right about this. Mangu is located inside the Playa Dorada complex across from "Field of Dreams" hotel. Most of the men inside that disco are Resort tourists who do not travel much outside the complex so they are more willing to pay a higher price for the chicas.

The disco though is still worth hanging out at on a Friday night with friends

I suppose if I was in their position (thank god no) with a fat wife and two whining kids $140 for ST at Cristals would look like one hell of a bargin. Being in the AI and having no knowledge of the country they could only compare it to scoring at home in a strip club and view it as getting a 50% discount. Ignorance is bliss.

She explained that she didn't make as much money as some of the other girls because most of the guys who came there wanted their chicas dark. I can only imagine they were there looking for an encounter with a chick who looked nothing like the wife they had left back at Playa Dorado.

Yeah a chica like that would make a fortune in Santiago, but that's probably where she is from so she can't work there and save face. Just the opposite is true in Santiago night clubs, the blancas clean up.

Thats pretty much the way I felt the last time I was there. I find the party vibe in Classico or Latino much better. And if you're there looking for non-pros you'd have a lot better luck on the streets of POP or in one of the local disco Typicos.

The first time I was there the PN raided the place, it was my second or third trip to the DR. A bunch of guys jumped the fence or ran into the women's bathroom! They patted everyone down until they got to me, he asked me if I was alright (maybe it was a mental question), I told him it was all good and they moved on to the next table. I was even nice enough to stand and raise my arms but no pat down on me.

I went to Gallactica once and is was scary. The La Canita was cool, but you have to keep aware of your surroundings closely, fights were always breaking out.

Ojivies is about 3/4 mile from El Bohen on the same street and on the right. To get to Las Canitas you make a right on the bridge before you get to Bohen on the Melacon side and then make a left when you get to the Hiana plant and drive for about a 1/4 mile. If you don't see it simply ask a moto where it is located.
