The National Drug Control Department has found a villa complex in Boca Chica, thought to have been used by Puerto Rican drug capo Jose David Figueroa Agosto for receiving boats with drug consignments. According to El Dia, the seafront properties had docking facilities for boats of various sizes. The DNCD will now be searching the southern coast and the eastern region of the country for similar properties.
The drugs were shipped from South America and then sent on to Puerto Rico. Figueroa Agosto is in jail in Puerto Rico, awaiting trial.
