The District Attorney for the National District was able to present the judges of the Fourth Collegiate Tribunal of the National District with evidence that the owner of the La Francesa Bakery in Santo Domingo, Ruben Soto Hayet and Omar Antigua Polanco were murdered by alleged contract killer Jose Miguel Rodriguez Almonte (Job), and that the accused had admitted the crimes during his interrogation. In addition, the testimony established that alleged drug trafficker Jose David Figueroa Agosto paid him to commit the crime through Gian Enrique Rojas Matos, known as Yan Carlos or Chico Raro, who was allegedly charged with delivering the money to the defendant Winston Antonio Rodriguez Tavarez, who was identified in the trial as "W" and called "Fire."

The chilling report on the testimony of the three colonels, who at the time of the incident worked at the National Police Criminal Investigation Department, was written by Diego Pesquera of Hoy newspaper. The testimony related how Figueroa Agosto ordered the elimination of four of his closest accomplices, starting with National Police Lieutenant Colonel Jose Amado Gonzalez Gonzalez, who was shot and killed outside his house on Christmas Eve 2009.
