The vice-president of the Public Electricity Corporation (CDEEE) and Ede-Norte officials will be providing descriptions and explanations of the 22 projects that will overhaul the distribution lines and substations over large areas of the northern region. The electricity distributor has been raked over the coals by public opinion because of its deficiencies, leading them to announce that they will provide explanations about the program to the municipal authorities, businessmen, and community activists in the Cibao in the Governor's Palace in Santiago de los Caballeros at 5pm this afternoon. Ede-Norte head Eduardo Saavedra Pizarro will take part in the conversations as will provincial governor Raul Martinez. The projects are being funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, and the OPEC countries, as well as with resources from Ede-Norte.
