Curfew has put a damper on things

Does anyone think they will ever let up on this curfew?? I was so used at eating dinner around 9-10 pm going back to the room chill for a while and go out about 12am. It seemed on this trip you really have to be on a scedule and I was always looking at my watch. 1am on weedays is just way to early and I can't see myself returning to DR as long as this curfew remains in affect. The discos were crowded on Sunday but the rest of the weekdays the discos were not crowded at all. BRING HIPOLITO BACK PLEASE !!!!!

The curfew does make you look at your watch near closing time. I usually try to double up on drinks beforehand. I think the next time I might bring a flask especially to a trip to the casino at 1:05am. The 1am closing during the week
is a joke.

i for one found no problems with it...it helps with negotiations. and i do not mind getting out at 1 or 2 heading back to the room fucking until about 4 and going to sleep...thats enough time for me.

Being in NYC I guess I'm used to the 4am closings.

If they can make it a little more reasonable like 3am that would be cool and I'm sure help out the buisness owners.

A lot of the local citizens seem to like the curfew. Im sure if the vast majority didnt theyd throw all sorts of protests against it. Sure the owners of the bars and restaurants were upset at first and im sure quite a few still are but if the majority of the people who live there feel their lives are better then its just something we will have to deal with being visitors. We can deal with it or just go someplace else. I didnt think I would like it at all but you kind of change your own schedule accordingly once your there a few days.

And at least now they dont round everyone up and force them to go home. And you can get a late night snack after everything closes at the Castle Burger if your hungry so all is not that bad.

I am good with the hours now. Not being out till 5am really helped my recovery. I did that a number of times in CR and it basically killed the next day's mongering.

Yes there are some benifits I guess, less hangover, feel better next day, more time in the bed with chica. I did wake up everday more refreshed hangover free. Hmmm,

The curfew does'nt bother me. You get to spend longer TLN with the chicas for the same price. Close too closing these girls will take what you offer.

This curfew sucks bad. we are hanging at the New Garden at 1am with our rooms full of beer and our 3 chicas and more chicas stop by. It really sucks.

For the record, I was adamently against the curfew... but the reality is, come closing time, almost every girl is looking to make a deal, and you're home earlier, and they definitely dont want to do anything to get kicked out before the morning as it's not good to be on the streets after hours...I guess the one downside is it may be tough to get a girl to agree to short time when the bars close, if you dont like them sleeping over...but then again, just agree to TLN, since the cost will probably be what you used to pay for ST, then kick em out when you're done...

I didnt notice any problems with chicas wandering the streets after the bars closed. The policia was around but no more roundups like in September. It did seem like all that was around late night were the street rats though. I went out around 4am one night and all I saw were 1 or 2 chicas that I didnt want and I saw Lou taking a piss on the side of the road. Not exactly good pickings at around 4am.

When you guys say that the clubs close at 1 AM during the week. Does this mean Monday to Friday , and the clubs are open late on Saturday and Sunday, or are the clubs just open late on Sunday?

Sunday-Thurs 1am Friday and Saturday 3am. Werent you in town in September at the New Garden? That Sunday night the bars closed at 1am. I guess you were already busy. :rofl: :rofl:

Many girls have no problem with ST at closing time. Most of them have alot of contacts with the motoconchos, and sometimes they have a chulo that is motoconcho.

The last couple of times I have been in Sosua, I did not think the curfew was too bad. I got use to it the first few days. It still is a pain in the ass the nights when you are still ready to go. All in all, it was not as bad as I thought.

Then why do you come down here every three weeks if it is so bad?
I simply adjusted my entire eating, fucking, and sleeping by a few hours and wake up earlier sans hangover, ain't so bad.

It pissed me off at the beginning, when they were running people off the streets at closing time. Christ, Sosua was a ghost town 10 minutes after closing hours.
Now, the cops don't seem to be as worried about people in the streets, and even let the bars fudge on closing by 10-15 minutes.
