Presidents Fernandez and Santos sign agreements

During his visit to Colombia, President Leonel Fernandez and his Colombian counterpart President Juan Manuel Santos signed agreements on commerce and aviation aimed at strengthening bi-lateral ties between the two nations. Both leaders were effusive in their praise for the work being done by strategy groups on consolidating bilateral relations, according to El Nuevo Diario. Santos and Fernandez touched upon the work that the two commissions were doing in the areas of aviation, tourism and the fight against drugs. The issue of regional security was one of the major points in their conversation with the reporters. In addition, Haiti and its recovery and education, with an emphasis on public libraries and a National Music Plan rounded out the talks.
