Twin sisters Maria Teresa and Teresa Maria Tapia Sanatis' health continues to improve and they are active and playful, just 23 days after being surgically separated at Children's Hospital at VCU in Richmond, Virginia.
Maria Teresa and Teresa Maria played with their mother Lisandra Sanatis during a surprise party prepared to celebrate her birthday. Their aunt, Mari Sanatis, and doctors, nurses and volunteers from the World Pediatric Project were also present.
