The President's chauffeur, National Police Colonel Paulino Sanchez Vasquez, was summoned to the District Attorney of the National District's office yesterday to answer questions about a truck he sold that turned out to have been stolen. Pedro Blanco Rosario filed a complaint that the colonel had sold him a Daihatsu truck that had been stolen. After being questioned, the officer said that this whole thing was part of a plot against him, and the plaintiff immediately said that that was not true. Paulino Sanchez Vasquez has also been questioned in another case, involving the sale of a farm at kilometer 22 of the Duarte Highway, which was supposedly not registered in his name. The official hearing was postponed until 19 December so that the parties can deposit the documents and proof and officials can question the witnesses in connection with the case.
