The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) says that weather conditions over the country continue to be influenced by two systems: winds from the north/northeast that are full of humidity and a frontal system over eastern Cuba which has been nearly stationary. These two conditions will provide the country with cooler temperatures and occasional cloudbursts and windy conditions. The showers will be brief and can be expected in the northwest, northeast, north and southeast and over the central mountains. Onamet adds that they are watching a low-pressure area that is located to the northeast of the Lesser Antilles and moving slowly to the north. The system has a low possibility (20%) of becoming a tropical cyclone over the next day or so.
