The National Police reports that the Central Cibao Regional Command located the whereabouts of the gang of thieves that robbed the Vimenca office on the Antonio Guzman Avenue in La Herradura. The intelligence on the location proved to be correct and in the ensuing gun battle Michael Miguel Rodriguez Abreu, known as "Marco Flow," was fatally wounded. The gang, composed of "Marco Flow," Joel Bisono Gomez (El Comandante), Juan Eraldo Belliard Sosa (El Gordo) and Santos Rafael Tejada Almanzar were found in the Ensanche Espaillat sector of Santiago. According to the police report, the gang of robbers opened fire with a Browning 9 mm automatic. All the gang members were well known by the Police. According to El Nuevo Diario, the gang had committed at least three robberies over the past few months, and Joel Bisono Gomez (El Comandante), who was captured, was wanted in connection with a homicide committed last September.
