The Central Electoral Board (JCE) informed the public yesterday that Tuesday 20 December is the deadline for Dominicans, 18 years and older or those who will be 18 before 20 May 2012, to register for their "Identification and Voter Registration" card (Cedula de Identidad y Electoral). The 20 December is the provisional date for closing the voter registration rolls, and it is also the deadline for requesting a change of address or any other information on the cedula. All Dominican citizens at home or abroad have until midnight on 20 December to register for their cedula.
