With nearly 20% of the population looking for a non-alcoholic adult beverage, the Dominican National Brewery (CND) has now introduced Brisa, the first non-alcoholic beer brewed in the Dominican Republic. Franklin Leon, the president of the CND - the makers of Presidente beer - said that the initiative responded to the aim of consolidating the CND as a beverage company, satisfying the needs of the consumers with high quality products and diversifying its brand portfolio. The suggested price on the market is RD$45 for a 12oz. bottle in supermarkets and convenience stores, according to the executive.

"Brisa is an excellent beer, whose qualities make it the ideal drink within a growing segment of consumers who want a non-alcoholic beverage at a more affordable price. The same as with each of our brands, Brisa is the result of constant study and market research, which allow us to identify new opportunities and consumer categories, as well as to present the public with products that satisfy, and even exceed their expectations," said Leon. He said that with the creation of Brisa, they are contributing to the energizing and development of the Dominican economy and strengthening responsible consumption because the product is an alternative for customers who do not wish to drink alcohol for health reasons or because they are driving or for other reasons. The product is aimed at people over the age of 18. He said that although the product does not contain alcohol, it should only be consumed by adults.
