The Gigantes del Cibao are still alive in the chase for that fourth spot in the standings of the Dominican Winter League Baseball Championship. Last night, in a makeup game, they defeated the Tigres del Licey, 4-2, behind veteran pitcher Aquilino Lopez and the bats of Alexi Casilla, Wilson Valdez and Erick Almonte and Brad Nelson. The victory brought the Gigantes to within one game of the fourth position in the standings at 22 wins and 26 losses. This was the only game played last night.
