Johnny Jones to LMD

Johnny Jones of the PRSC has been chosen as candidate for the post of secretary general of the Dominican Municipal League (LMD). A new secretary general needs to be chosen on 26 January 2012. Jones, in charge of municipal affairs of the PRSC, received the unanimous vote of the 10 members present at the PRSC Permanent Political Commission. The voting members included Carlos Morales Troncoso, Ramon Rogelio Genao, Jose Hazim Frappier, Rafaela Alburquerque, Humberto Salazar, Luis Jose Gonzalez Perez and Jose Enrique Sued, as reported in El Nuevo Diario. The LMD is headed by Fidia Aristy Castro, who was elected for a year following the resignation of Amable Aristy Castro to take on the senate seat for La Altagracia.
