Hey guys,

I'm new here, I will be arriving in Sosua on Tuesday. Wondering if anyone wanted to meet up?

Also, what is good for New Years? I've hearing Cabarete is the place to be, but what measures specifically should be taken?

I've been reading up a bunch of threads/trip reports, but a lot of them seem to be slightly dated, are all the hot spots/clubs and such still happening (say from a thread posted a year or two ago?)

I was never there for New Years Eve, but see if there's any concerts in town and if there is, I recommend finding a date for the night and go enjoy yourself.. If for some reason u can't find a date, which is basically impossible, outside of the concert (if there is one), there will be plenty of girls that can't afford to get in.. Ask them if they would like to be your date and take them in, buy a bottle of rum, and enjoy yourself!

The ticket to get in will most likely be about 300-500 pesos, which is nothing to you, but the party of the year for a Chica!
