As the Aguilas, Tigres, Leones and Gigantes fight to decide who makes it to the playoffs, the games continue at the Quisqueya and Cibao ballparks today.
A leading prospect for the White Sox of Chicago joins the Tigres del Licey as they attempt to make it to the playoffs in the Dominican Winter Baseball League. Cuban Dayan Viciedo is expected to start playing later this week. He batted for .255 in 102 turns with the White Sox in 2011. Over the holidays, Ubaldo Jimenez also joined the Licey on 15 December, strengthening the chances of the city team that is lagging in third place.
Two games are scheduled for today:
Santo Domingo. Quisqueya Ball Park. Gigantes vs. Tigres at 7:35pm.
Santiago. Cibao Ball Park. Leones vs. Aguilas at 7:35pm.
