The Judicial Branch Council, which is chaired by Mariano German Mejia, has ordered an investigation into the Court of San Cristobal after receiving a complaint from Deputy Nelson Guillen, who questioned the sentences issued by this tribunal. The information was given to reporters from El Nuevo Diario yesterday by the legislator who said that the Supreme Court sent investigators to the Palace of Justice of the province of San Cristobal to investigate the veracity of his charges. Guillen said that he has asked for a meeting with the Chief Justice, Mariano German Mejia, in order to present him with his portfolio of questionable cases. The legislator added that he would be meeting with the Attorney General as well.
