A man who posed as a medical doctor and is accused of swindling thousands of pesos from family members of patients who were being treated in the emergency room of the Jose Maria Cabral y Baez Hospital in Santiago, has turned himself in with the help of one of the nation's television and radio news agencies, SIN. Apparently tired of being on the run, former army man Francis Ciprian Arias turned himself in to the National Police. According to Police spokesman Maximo Baez Aybar, Arias will be sent to Santiago for arraignment and a hearing on coercive measures.
