The newly created Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) has held its first ordinary work session at a temporary office on the fifth floor of the Dominican Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI) in the Centro de los Heroes government complex in Santo Domingo. During the session, Zenaida Severino Marte was appointed interim secretary general.

Mariano Rodriguez, president of the court, said two commissions were created. One is responsible for preparing the internal administrative ruling, under judges Mabel Feliz Baez and Jose Manuel Hernandez Peguero, and the other for electoral disputes, under John Guilliani and Marino Mendoza.

Rodriguez said they are in touch with the National Budget Office for administrative matters and opening of bank accounts, and will work on creating the TSE's institutional image. They also will be working with the Supreme Court of Justice for rectifying civil documentation, as reported in El Dia.
