The First Court of the Penal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the Province of Santo Domingo has sentenced Jesus Reyes Gonzalez to the maximum 30 years in jail. He was found guilty of the murder of seven taxi drivers. He was sentenced to jail in Azua. The court said there was proof that he had been involved in the murders of Odelis Calderon, Anito Beltran, Etanislao Cayetano Pascual, Jonathan Bello, Nelson Tavarez Hernandez, Joan Manuel Rodriguez and Navy officer-taxi driver Romero Gonzalez.
