Tintin in Santo Domingo

Following on from the premier in Belgium in 10 October and in US theaters on 21 December 2011, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn has opened in Santo Domingo theaters this week with showings at 3D theaters. The film is directed by Steven Spielberg (DreamWorks), computer animation by Peter Jackson (of Lord of the Rings, King Kong) and is based on the original 1940s comic book series. It is the first animated film Spielberg has directed and promises two hours of intense action for all audiences. Spielberg had been interested in the remake of the series when discovering the comic books after a review compared his Raiders of the Lost Ark to Tintin.
