Title says it all. Looking for a little ground support when I arrive 4/24. Mostly just a quick orientation type of thing. Not looking to be a hanger on and willing to buy a couple rounds in gratitude.

I'm assuming you mean Sosua. If so, you'll find members at Rockys and New Garden around breakfast. If you have not done so yet, get a membership here to read a few reports. Start with this to get your bearings. It shows you where everything is.

Yes Sosua - can't believe I left out that detail.

I'm leaning toward Terra Linda which looks to be right by the places mentioned. Latest quote for TL was actually favorable over NG.

I did get a membership yesterday - great reading!

Terra Linda is walking distance to everything. You'll have Rockys a few steps to the left and NG a few steps to the right. There's always members and nonmembers there willing to help a new guy. Just don't let some Dominican guide help you and you'll be fine.

as Tarzan said you wont have any issues finding a guy or two that will be willing to show you the ropes of Sosua.... There are always lots of cats, there who are solo and looking for some one cool to kick it with. As long as,you are a decent guy and dont get stupid drunk and act an ass.... Im not saying that you are I just wanted to clarify that..... You dont want to hang out alone in sosua during the daytime especially anyway, the day time there is very boring when your, solo. Its much much better to find a wingman to chat and do things with and, hang out go clubbin and bar hoppin until you both find what you want for the evening and go your seperate ways... Like Tarzan said.. Rockies, new garden and even passions and cmp are all good places to run into guys who are on,the same agenda as you are.. Also dont pass up the black box and cmp on the beach there are usually some guys hanging out in those spots aswell..... But like I said unless you find some one to ,hang with during the day your going to be fairly bored so chances are those other guys are going to be pretty bored aswell and will be more than happy to find someone to,hang with ,besides its always fun to show a newbie around ... Some one, who, has never been there before is alot of,fun to,kick,it,with.

Thanks guys this community is a trove of info. Lot's to research and no shortage of available info problem is I get stuck drooling over pics in the trip reports!

Tarzan, that link with the visual tour is gold. Google maps only gets you so much.

Jonew1, thanks for tips, especialy about the beach spots. Wasn't giving it much thought yet and now I know what the black box is about. Saw it mentioned elsewhere but hadn't connected the dots.

One question on cash management. Advice on how much cash to carry on a night out? Couple thousand pesos reasonable for a night out assuming one is not sessioning at passions?

I never carry more then 5000 pesos on me, it's usually enough for food, drinks and for a chica, but I guess it depends on how much you drink. Remember if you run out you can always go back to your room to get more.

Makes a ton of sense. Plus carrying less will help with budget management.

I can't binge on drinks like I used to. Some minor medical conditions limit me to about 4-5 an outing Funny as you age these little signs of mortality start popping up.

Quick funny or so I think... first mention of black box I figured it was an anatomical reference

I'm fuckin only in my room so no need to walk with the chica money--it's stashed and not to be mixed in with regular spending money. Usually a 1,000 pesos tops is enough to eat and drink plenty on in between trips back to the room to change or whatever. Maybe I'll walk with a little more than that when I'm out for the night.

That's just about what I carry around at night... Anywhere from 100-150 US converted to Dominican... If you spend more then this a night you're going way above what you should for a night! Don't forget, beers, rum, pussy are a lot cheaper then it is in the US!

In Sosua, I carried about 100 pesos, maybe 150. In Meddy its maybe 50,000 - 100,000 pesos.

HotDogg-

Lots of good advice above. Don't worry about finding a wing. If you have some basic social skillz and talk to some cats you'll find yourself going to Classico's or Rhumba or Cuba Libre or La Passions with another cat, or meeting up with them at those venues.

Just introduce yourself, wherever you are, NG, Rocky's, Tierra Linda...It's super easy.

Mongers want to hang with other mongers. We want to share stories and info live as we do on this board.

My first and second trips to DR I went by myself and I had no wings lined up. But both trips I easily easily easily made new friends and established wings.

Just go! You'll find your wing when you get there!

Make sure you post a report with juicy pics when you return!

It depends on what type of woman you want, or like.

If you buy them in bulk off of Ebay, they're one size fits all.

If you go to the Dollar store or Walmart or something like that. Get smalls......unless you like fat chicas.

I'm NEVER going to give the chicas gift bags. Period. It's too chump, too tool for me. You all can follow your gift bag philosophy, but I don't think it makes any difference. They're getting 1,500-2,000 for st to tln. If they're stellar, gfe or pse, they'll get a tip from me. But no fuck gift bags. I do not want to spend the money or the time or pack that shit. Best of luck to those of you who do. Ha. Ha.

Looks like all along Jimmy had a trick up his sleeve! He has been giving out trick or treat gift bags! Wonder he pays so cheap, it has nothing to do with ice cream! Lol

They need money more then anything out there... If they re gret and u feel the need to give Em extra then give a cpl hundred pesos... Or you can take them out for a cheap meal after the session...

In Colombia I went from 150,000 down to 100,000 down to 80,000. They knew the peso went from 2,200 down to 1,900.

Don't forget, you don't drink alcohol, which can add up.. And it's a rare occasion that you go to a club... Not knocking you, that's just what you do .. If I didn't like to go out and drink, my trip would be a lot cheaper !

Sorry if I attributed the gift bag approach to the wrong guy, someone is using the tactic. I suppose everybody's game is a little different.

Maybe I'll try to get the chicas to give me their panties... that would be delivering the A game.

Heading back to Sosua next week after spending holidays in the states..Bringing back an extra suitcase with nothing but gifts(regalos)in which most were bought at the dollar store.Took less than half hour.
I found out by throwing in a gift after a session I am able to negociate a better price next time around.
Cheap gift bags go a long way---after a month in Sosua a lot of chicas smell the same and are wearing the same kind of panties....

You carry 100 pesos with you, which basically buys nothing. Everytime you want to spend something, you walk 4 blocks back to your hotel to get some money? If thatīs how you want to spend your vacation, walking back and forth to your hotel for every round, I now see why you require a month to take a trip. 3 and a half weeks of it is spent walking back and forth to your hotel to withdraw another 50 pesos.

More, if you are further away than 4 blocks when you get hungry.

To each his own.

I am leaving my hotel to find a TLN chica and return to my hotel to bang her and swim. I am not there to dance the night away or drink. In 2005 and 2006, it didn't take more than an hour to get what I wanted.

So you wonīt even buy her a drink first and get to know her? Could be a long night.

Iīm not sure what swimming has to do with anything. Then again, Iīm not sure what ice cream has to do with anything.

The first time I went to MDE I brought about 5 small tee shirts that said New York, they were black with rhinestones on the letters, I think they are called baby tee's... They are small and show the curves on women... Anyway, I found them at the local flea market in new York and they were 3 bucks each... I wound up giving them to the maids at Medellin Mansion and maybe one went to a chica I fucked... They really did love these shirts and they were very happy to get a gift... To me it was only 3 bucks each, but to them, it was worth a whole lot more... I don't know about gift bags but some candy, lollipops, etc.. can go a long way... Just don't go out of your way to stuff your suitcase with this crap..

As I think about it there's little sense in me doing any sort of gifts. I'm only there a few days and I can't be a regular visitor.

Seems like the main benefit would be to gift to improve service/negotiations in the future. Does not really apply in my case.
