The National Drug Control Department (DNCD) is reporting the arrest of a US citizen who tried to travel to New York with 4,753 pills thought to be 'ecstasy' (MDMA) hidden in her suitcase. The woman, identified as 22-year old Cristina Henriquez was ticketed on Delta Airline flight 550 to New York. The airport X-ray machine revealed a suspicious lining in one of her suitcases. The suitcase was checked carefully in the presence of an assistant prosecutor and found to have a double base where three packages in aluminum foil were hidden, suspected of containing the illegal recreational drug, as reported in Listin Diario.
