On Monday the Central Electoral Board (JCE) Plenary approved the regulations for the application of Law 198-11, which covers marriages celebrated in the Evangelical Christian churches of the Dominican Republic. As part of these regulations, the churches are obliged to register marriages in the Books of Acts of the Civil Registries as well as being granted the proper accreditation for celebrating these marriages. The churches are also in charge of the training of the ministers or pastors.
